Feeling Safer Back Home Project

February 2, 2018

EOI for lived experience participants for post discharge project: Feeling safer back home

We are seeking expressions of interest for workshop participants with a lived experience of suicide.

‘Feeling safer back home’ is a project looking at discharge and follow up processes in Western Australia for people who have attempted suicide, their carers, supporters and family. The project is supported by a number of organisations who are members of the WA Suicide Prevention Network. We value your experience and input.

Selected participants will be paid $35 an hour for a three hour workshop that will be run in East Perth.

This is a difficult topic. Before applying, we ask you to consider how you might feel about being in a workshop where you will be reflecting on and talking about your personal experience.

We will make the workshop as solutions-focused as we can. We will have break out rooms and people available to talk to if you need support.

Please complete the attached application form and email to Donna.turner@helpingminds.org.au by 6th February 2018. More information about the project and application process is available on the attached form. Please share with your networks. We have attached the Roses In The Ocean document ‘Am I ready?’ at the suggestion of Raff from Neami. Please circulate this with the EOI.
